The Debt Capital Markets team consists of highly experienced originators and structurers specializing in offshore G3 and RMB bond issuances for Chinese state-owned enterprises, financials, and corporate issuers. The division operates in a fast-paced, meritocratic environment where strategic leadership, cross-border collaboration, and strong institutional relationships are paramount.
about the job.
- Lead the overall strategic direction, origination, and execution of Debt Capital Markets transactions across Asia-Pacific.
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with corporate clients, state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, and government entities.
- Oversee the structuring, pricing, syndicate distribution, and execution of offshore US Dollar, Dim Sum, and privatised bond offerings.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and pitching innovative debt financing solutions to C-suite executives.
- Collaborate with coverage, sales, credit risk, and research teams to streamline transaction lifecycles and bookbuilding processes.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and line management to senior and junior team members within the DCM department.
skills & experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience within Debt Capital Markets origination and execution in a reputable investment bank or securities firm.
- In-depth expertise in Asian fixed income markets, debt structuring, credit analysis, and SFC regulatory frameworks.
- Eligible or currently qualified as an SFC Responsible Officer (RO) or Licensed Representative for Type 1 and/or Type 6 regulated activities.
- Full professional fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin is required to engage with executive-level onshore clients.
- Demonstrable track record of closed bond transactions, strong client connectivity, and team leadership capability.
