Our client, a leading MNC, is seeking a hands-on Manager for Software Development to build and lead a high-performing offshore team in the APAC region from the ground up. The ideal candidate has proven experience managing offshore development resources, from establishing and recruiting to managing team and vendor performance.

• Build and lead a new or growing software development team in the APAC region, cultivating a culture of innovation and accountability among both onshore and offshore technologists and engineers.
• Spearhead initiatives to modernize enterprise systems, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and best practices to enhance performance and scalability.
• Drive end-to-end project delivery, coordinating with cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality solutions.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies and agile methodologies, pushing the boundaries of what's possible to build robust, scalable, and secure systems.
• Partner with business leaders to translate strategic goals into a clear technical roadmap, serving as a key advisor on technology-related decisions.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing project delivery and team performance.
• Proven experience managing people, resources, and vendors, along with a track record of building and scaling offshore development teams from the ground up.
• Deep understanding of the SDLC and system architecture, with hands-on experience in a wide range of technologies within a Java, C#, or JavaScript environment.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
• Must be fluent in English and have full working rights for Hong Kong.
