- Lead strategic planning for all warehouse and distribution operations, aiming to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
- Oversee all warehouse operations, from receiving to order fulfilment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with food safety standards.
- Implement and manage inventory control strategies to minimise waste and optimise stock levels in both internal and third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses.
- Manage complex projects like warehouse expansion, relocation, and new system implementations (e.g., a WMS), including budget management and team coordination.
- Monitor and manage the performance of 3PL providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to retail stores and direct-to-consumer customers.
- Lead and develop a team of warehouse professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments like manufacturing and retail operations to ensure seamless business operations.
- Manage external warehouse providers, including regular performance reviews, contract negotiations, and resolving issues.
- Develop and manage the logistics budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including food safety and transportation laws.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies (like WMS or Put-to-Light systems) to boost efficiency and visibility.
- Maintain a safe and secure warehouse environment by implementing and enforcing safety policies.
skills & experiences required.
- Attained tertiary degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
- > 12 years of working experience in warehouse, 3PL, and cold chain management, specifically within the food manufacturing and retail industries
- Experience in leading major projects like warehouse relocation and system implementations (WMS, TMS, etc.)
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and a solid understanding of inventory management, transportation regulations, and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP)
- Language proficiency in both English and Chinese
- Willing to work from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on shift during holidays
