As a Litigation Associate within the practice group, you will manage a wide-ranging contentious caseload across domestic and cross-border disputes:
- Commercial Litigation: Assist in managing complex commercial disputes, breach of contract claims, shareholder and partnership conflicts, and corporate insolvency actions.
- Court Proceedings: Draft pleadings, witness statements, affirmations, summonses, and bundles for hearings across the High Court, District Court, and appellate courts in Hong Kong.
- Fraud & Asset Tracing: Support urgent injunction proceedings, freezing orders, asset recovery, and cross-border civil fraud recovery matters.
- Legal Research & Advisory: Conduct in-depth legal research on procedural rules and substantive Hong Kong law to prepare comprehensive legal opinions and case strategies.
- Client & Counsel Interaction: Liaise directly with corporate clients, expert witnesses, overseas counsel, and leading barristers throughout the dispute lifecycle.
skills & experience required.
- Qualifications: Duly admitted as a Hong Kong qualified solicitor.
- Experience Level: Minimum 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial dispute resolution, civil litigation, or contentious matters gained within a reputable law firm in Hong Kong.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid grounding in Hong Kong civil procedure, strong legal analysis, and meticulous drafting skills.
- Language Skills: Outstanding professional command of written and spoken English and Cantonese is required; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
- Attributes: Ambitious, commercially astute, and proactive, with the capability to manage tight court deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
