about the job.
As an Associate within the TMIC team, you will handle a diverse portfolio encompassing advisory, transactional, and contentious legal matters:
- Employment Advisory: Advise corporate clients on Hong Kong employment law, including workplace policies, executive appointments, restructuring, and workforce compliance.
- Technology Regulatory & Commercial: Deliver counsel on technology-related regulatory frameworks, data privacy, commercial agreements, intellectual property, and technology vendor arrangements.
- Contentious Matters & Investigations: Handle contentious regulatory issues, internal investigations, commercial disputes, and court proceedings where required.
- Cross-Border Collaboration: Work closely with international CMS offices on cross-border transactions and multi-jurisdictional matters.
- Client Engagement: Build sustained relationships with key business stakeholders and provide proactive, commercially focused solutions.
skills & experience required.
- Qualifications: Duly admitted as a Hong Kong qualified solicitor.
- Experience Level: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) gained within a reputable international or domestic law firm in Hong Kong.
- Practice Exposure: Proven track record in employment law, technology regulatory advisory, commercial contracts, intellectual property, or related regulatory/litigation practice areas.
- Language Skills: Outstanding drafting and spoken fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is required to manage regional client portfolios and documentation.
- Attributes: High level of commercial acumen, strong analytical capabilities, and a collaborative mindset when working across diverse jurisdictions and practice groups.
