Advise multi-national corporations and financial institutions on the full spectrum of Hong Kong employment law, from onboarding to complex terminations.
Handle contentious employment matters, including Labour Tribunal claims, High Court litigation, and mediations regarding restrictive covenants.
Lead sensitive internal investigations into workplace misconduct, discrimination, and whistleblowing allegations.
Provide strategic advice on the employment aspects of cross-border M&A transactions, including due diligence and post-merger integration.
Draft and negotiate executive service agreements, handbooks, and complex separation packages.
Manage regional employment projects across various Asia-Pacific jurisdictions, coordinating with local counsel where necessary.
skills & experience required.
Qualified solicitor with 4-7 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) specialising in employment law within an international or top-tier firm.
Extensive experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters in Hong Kong.
Strong technical knowledge of the Employment Ordinance and related data privacy and discrimination legislation.
Fluency in English and Cantonese is essential; the ability to draft and negotiate in both languages is a prerequisite.
Proven ability to manage complex files independently while mentoring junior associates and trainees.
Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
