With a dominant presence in Greater China and an aggressive regional expansion strategy, they use their Hong Kong branch as a pivotal hub for international operations. They are currently seeking a senior leader to elevate their syndicated finance capabilities.
Role SummaryReporting to the Regional Head, you will take full P&L ownership of the Global Syndicated Loan Business with a strategic focus on the APAC region. You will architect the bank’s "Originate-to-Distribute" model, leading a cross-border team to capture market share in Corporate, LBO, Aviation, Shipping, and Project Finance sectors.
Key MandatesStrategic Direction: Formulate and execute the annual business plan and budget for the Corporate Finance Department. You will lead and mentor the overseas Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team to achieve aggressive revenue and distribution targets.
End-to-End Deal Execution: Oversee the full transaction lifecycle—from originating and structuring complex mandates to underwriting and primary syndication. You will define pricing, tenor, and covenant structures that balance commercial viability with risk appetite.
Distribution & Network: Expand the bank’s distribution capabilities by cultivating a robust network of institutional investors, private credit funds, and regional banks.
Risk & Governance: Own the underwriting risk framework. You are responsible for setting hold levels, return hurdles, and ensuring all transactions comply with internal credit policies and external regulatory standards.
Experience: A veteran banker with 15-20+ years of specialized experience in Syndicated Loans, Leveraged Finance, or DCM. A strong track record in the Hong Kong and Singapore markets is essential.
Technical Edge: Expert command of LMA/APLMA documentation, secondary market dynamics, and the "Originate-to-Distribute" model. Experience in specialized sectors (Shipping/Aviation/Project Finance) is a plus.
Leadership: Proven capability in managing P&L and leading cross-border teams.
Language: Native/Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English
