Role Overview:

Responsible for evaluating and managing risk for our liability line of business, ensuring all decisions align with company guidelines and local regulatory frameworks. This role requires a blend of technical rigor and commercial acumen to drive the profitability and sustainability of the portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

• Risk Assessment & Selection: Evaluate, negotiate, and decide on Casualty risks by applying rigorous underwriting standards and rating models to ensure portfolio profitability and growth.
• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain high-value partnerships with brokers and producers to drive quality submissions and promote the company’s underwriting philosophy.
• Portfolio Management: Execute pricing strategies, including minimum deductibles and premiums, while managing the end-to-end lifecycle of quotes, policies, and endorsements within core systems.
• Strategic Marketing: Execute targeted marketing strategies through client visits, industry conferences, and interstate/overseas travel to secure new business and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Claims teams to resolve complex liability inquiries and coordinate with regional offices to align on global best practices.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree holder
• Over 3 years of experience in underwriting
• Good command of both English and Chinese
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
