Our client is a sizable commercial firm in Hong Kong, they are looking for a self driven individual to join their in house insurance team.
Reporting to the team lead, you will be developing insurance strategies, negotiating terms, and ensuring optimal risk allocation across all commercial agreements in Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the team lead in the comprehensive management of annual insurance programs for corporate assets across various internal Business Units.
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of effective insurance standards and internal procedures designed to promote best practices throughout the Company.
- Aiding the negotiation process by conducting market data analysis to help secure appropriate asset and liability coverage from specialized insurers.
- Proactively reviewing and managing various insurance claims and contracts under guidance, with a focus on contractual implications for maximizing cost recovery and achieving optimal risk allocation.
- Vetting insurance documents and carrying out policy reviews autonomously within delegated authority, utilizing strong technical knowledge to ensure proper protection for internal clients.
- Collaborating with external insurance consultants on tasks such as liability assessments, contractual risk analysis, and related insurance requirements.
- Implementing agreed-upon insurance solutions and strategies to contribute to the delivery of cost-effective annual insurance programs in Hong Kong.
- Addressing diverse day-to-day insurance needs of internal clients independently, ensuring all decisions align with the Business Units' predetermined retained risk profile.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in business, finance or related field
- Minimum 10 years of working experience with minimum 2 years in supervisory level with inhouse insurance department and other insurance companies
- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance regulations and market practices in Hong Kong.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good commands in chinese and english
