As an Assistant Logistics Manager, you will play a very important role within the Logistics team, reporting to the Logistics Manager. You will be a detail-oriented, organized, responsible person who is proactive and solution-oriented by nature. You will be responsible for:
- Managing comprehensive logistics workflows, which includes shipment planning & execution, import/export procedures & documentation, warehousing, and inventory control management.
- Overseeing budgeting, cost control & improvement initiatives, and benchmarking processes within logistics.
- Managing and liaising effectively with 3PLs, including KPI tracking, as well as coordinating with internal departments for all logistics and shipment matters.
- Coordinating daily operational activities to ensure efficient order fulfillment through effective production & logistics planning, sales & purchase order creation, invoicing, import/export handling, shipment execution (including documentation, customs clearance, and duty administration), and after-sales activities.
- Applying a flow-to-work management approach and providing flexible support to your team to ensure key business projects and orders across various regions are delivered efficiently and with high quality.
skills & experiences required.
- A Degree holder, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related disciplines, is preferred.
- Possess 4-6 years of working experience in the logistics sector, covering shipment planning & execution, and hands-on 3PL management.
- Demonstrated experience in small team management in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in handling shipments with various Incoterms, via Sea, Truck & Air, including import/export procedures, and Dangerous Goods (DG) products.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Fluent command of spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is a MUST.
- Excellent command of computer literacy in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A good team player, proactive, with a mature mindset, outgoing, and self-motivated.
- Positive, confident, and a quick thinker who can analyze the bigger picture.
