Deal with daily requests and prepare credit applications for various business lines requesting credit limits on financial institutions
Perform credit analysis, recommendation of internal ratings and credit limits, assessment of credit risks embedded in banking products or structured transactions
Partner with business lines in rating and risk assessment; coordinate with legal and credit functions relating to credit issues on the FI portfolio
Proactively manage the FI portfolio with on-going monitoring, report any material / adverse development, in order to take pre-emptive actions
Perform follow up action on the portfolio and adjudicate on risk issues arising out of daily anomalies, late ratings and break clause conditions
Articulate credit related parameters towards documentation requirements on ISDA/ CSA and GMRA in cooperation with business lines and legal
Ensure that credit procedures are followed in accordance with internal policies and guidelines; strengthen understanding of Basel requirements, internal risk systems/ tools, as well as in accordance with local regulatory requirements
skills & experiences required.
Bachelor degree or above
At least 5-8 years of experience in credit risk or counterparty credit risk, preferable with coverage on financial institutions(FI) or non- bank financial institutions(NBFI) clients
Sound knowledge of capital markets products (rate, credit, OTC derivatives) as well as the documentation requirements(ISDA/CSA/GMRA, etc)
Good credit analysis, financial modeling skills
Proactive and confident to face off and partner with internal stakeholders including the front office
Good command of spoken and written English
You would be considered as VP or Senior Associate depends on experience level
