As a Senior Technical Manager, you will be responsible for
- Lead the R&D team in the conceptualization, design, and engineering of innovative home appliances, ensuring products are both functional and marketable.
- Manage the entire product development lifecycle, from initial idea generation through to prototyping, testing, and final production, ensuring projects meet defined timelines and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing, to integrate their insights and requirements into product designs.
- Implement and oversee rigorous testing protocols to ensure that all products meet industry standards and company quality benchmarks before launch.
- Drive continuous improvement by incorporating feedback from end-users and cross-functional teams into future product designs.
- Negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers to secure high-quality materials and services at cost-effective prices.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and competitor products to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and accountability within the R&D department.
- Oversee the development and refinement of prototypes, ensuring they accurately represent the final product and meet all functional requirements.
- Lead quality checks throughout the development process to guarantee product reliability and performance, adhering to stringent quality standards.
skills & experiences required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the home appliance industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of R&D processes and methodologies.
- Proven track record of leading successful product development projects.
- Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
