Our client is a renowned global insurance company with a presence in over 50 countries. The Group is now seeking an Assistant Manager - EB claims to join the team in Hong Kong, covering Group Life and Group Medical claims.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Process and adjudicate Group Life and Group Medical claims professionally and effectively per the Company’s policies & objectives
- Analyze all claims to ensure optimal quality; provide regular and ad hoc claims reports & statistics to business units, clients, and management
- Liaise with medical professionals and customers to conduct assessment and investigation
- Conduct cost review and hospitalization pre-admission approval
- Complaint handling and resolving disputes
- Based on claims service benchmarks and analytical data to monitor and improve claims processing turnaround time, practices, and procedures
- Workflow and System enhancement and related project management
- Manage ad hoc projects as required
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- Degree holder or tertiary graduate and preferably with insurance-related qualifications, e.g., FLMI, ICA, ACII/ANZIIF
- 5 – 7 years of Group Life and Medical claim processing experience
- Customer-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- With a digital mindset and be able to initiate & implement technology and process changes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving, self-motivated, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good team player and self-starter; able to interact with people at all levels
- Ability to work multi-task and under pressure
- Strong sense of responsibility with a high level of integrity and trust
- Good command of English and Chinese in both written and spoken
- Sound PC skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of FDA health regulations
