- Collaborate with the department and team head to identify and analyze potential business opportunities through new client mapping, as well as maintain and nurture customer relationships with existing corporate clients.
- Collaborate closely with the team leader to identify and assess potential business prospects by mapping out new clients. Additionally, maintain and nurture relationships with existing corporate clients.
- Utilize your extensive network of client connections to proactively market and prospect for new opportunities, focusing on local corporate entities in Hong Kong across various segments, including large corporates, listed companies, higher mid-caps, and middle-market entities.
- Take full ownership of team targets, with a specific focus on generating revenue from new clients and refinancing within the existing portfolio. These targets encompass both lending and non-lending key performance indicators.
- Actively engage in sales and marketing activities to explore and evaluate new business opportunities, offering a comprehensive range of corporate banking services. This includes areas such as debt capital markets (DCM), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), syndication, club deal facilitation, trade financing (primarily documentary trade and receivable/account payable finance), bilateral lending, revolving loans, working capital loans, as well as cross-selling cash management products (CASA/deposit), derivative instruments, and treasury products.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the trade and working capital cycles of corporate clients, enabling the enhancement of the value creation process and the provision of effective trade finance solutions, both independently and in collaboration with trade product partners.
- Thoroughly review pitch-books, conduct credit analysis, and develop financial models for credit proposals to support credit meetings. Upholding superior credit quality standards is of utmost importance.
- Demonstrate a proficient understanding of account opening procedures, KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements, due diligence processes, and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) protocols for client onboarding. This ensures strict compliance with protocols and regulatory guidelines.
skills & experiences required.
You will ideally have 7+ years of experience as a vice president/relationship manager and will be familiar with soliciting new business opportunities and executing credit mandates within Corporate Banking business. With respect to business needs, you will be proficient in Mandarin, English and Cantonese. You will be a capable leader who demonstrates a great sense of self-motivation and proactiveness to drive the team forward.
