Vice President, Financial Control (APAC) - European Bank
An excellent opportunity to join a well-established EU Bank in Hong Kong, the position is a team leader role with 3-4 subordinates working together on APAC projects. Ideally someone with operational risk experience in Finance, Financial Control with EU or US Bank or candidates with regional internal control exposure.
- HK$70,000 - 85,000 x 12 months + bonus

About the team:
Team of 4-5 and responsible for APAC control projects, including data privacy, financial control & risk management and working on policies and enhancements projects for top management within APAC and HQ.
Job Responsibilities:
...- Acted as first line of defense and define and update control frameworks according to outcome of risk assessments, regulations and other risk events, and coordinated the implementation of controls, analysis of control results, and formalization of action plans within APAC
- Led projects to analyze new control frameworks developed by Head Office and implemented them within the APAC region for areas such as Tax, Procurement, and Management Reporting
- Manages the potential and historical incidents – collect, report in Group database, analyse, follow-up and perform controls on the incident collection process
- Follow-up of the findings and recommendations closure including IG and external auditor recommendations involving APAC Finance
- Verify Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Business Interruption Analysis (BIA) procedures for Finance team
- Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by top management or HQ
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting or any related disciples
- At least 8 years working experience, prefer Big4 trained, with at least 3-4 years of in-house internal control, risk or financial control related experience
- Professional Qualification in ACCA, CPA Aus or HKICPA
- Experience in risk assessment and the design of control plans to mitigate the identified risk
- Great organisation and leadership skills with people management experience
- Proactive, creative, sensitive to control, detail minded and able to led several projects at once
- Excellent communication skills and ability to foster good working relationships including outside of Finance department
- Excellent in both Chinese & English in both written and spoken commands, to communicate with headquarters as well as other leaders / stakeholders within APAC
