The newly formed UX/UI team is of a localized and simple structure, meaning decisions will be more streamlined and efficient. They also promote good work-life balance along side of practical, hands on approaches and an open, collaborative environment.

The team’s main aim is to revamp all digital platforms associated with the bank and therefor as a candidate, you will have be part of a team that has ownership over the whole revamp process.

about the job.
We are currently hiring a UX Manager to aid the team in the functionality and flow of the projects. You will also be working along side a research manager on the execution and processes, and oversee the UI design aspects of the platforms as well. You will also partake in user research, concept visualization and validation, to usability testing, design and
skills & experiences required.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in UX/UI design processes and be able to communicate openly with the team. You will be expected to have a higher level skillset so as to be able to contribute to the UI aspect when necessary.

Other primary responsibilities include:

  • Apply strategic thinking to deliver end-to-end user experience solutions with a focus on user needs & business goals
  • Be directly responsible for delivering all aspects of design, from defining customer needs to development
  • Design end-to-end experiences using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, learn about user behaviour and verify design concepts
  • Turn visions into concepts and translate those concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity. Utilize industry design standards and best practices to define and implement design criteria, design guidelines, and design specs
  • Work closely with Project Managers to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and conduct user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modelling, interaction design, and usability testing
  • Produce user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, user flow diagrams, wireframes, design prototypes, and design specifications
  • Work closely with development teams to manage the design process, drive decisions, track design issues and ensure that design specifications are implemented
  • Effectively communicate findings, ideas, designs, and rationale both verbally and visually
  • Keep up to date with emerging industry developments / trends on digital services to ensure the future strategy for the product developments are aligned with evolving developments
  • Collaborate and share knowledge with other team members and stakeholders
  • Improving user interaction and interface within an Accessibility framework
  • Management of interaction with digital agencies
  • Promoting user centred design principles and best practice within banking

Skills & experience required:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX Design
  • Ability to understand detailed complex requirements to design elegant solutions for complicated processes
  • Be able to Clearly and effectively communicate ideas and solutions to stakeholders
  • Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism
  • Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation
  • Proficient in interaction design with a strong understanding of user centered design process
  • Strong experience across desktop & native mobile app design
  • Proficiency in UX Software (Axure, Sketch & InVision) and UX methodologies (Double Diamond Framework, Customer Journey Mapping, Personas, Competitive Analysis, Brainstorming, Storyboarding, Wireframing, User Flows, Task Analysis, Prototyping etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of User Research techniques and usability testing
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum
  • Ability to work within a Design System and propose various concepts within given constraints
  • Good relationship management skills to satisfy a wider range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities
  • Experience of coaching, motivating and inspiring others to excel
  • Strong online portfolio available for viewing
  • Previous experience in the financial sector preferable but not a must
