Conduct thorough investigations into compliance issues and red flags, promptly reporting any suspicious cases to regulatory authorities such as the SFC, JFIU, etc
Monitor and analyze daily surveillance alerts and reports generated by the trade surveillance system, focusing on equities and derivative products.
Utilize trade surveillance tools to analyze trading patterns, including inside trading, price rigging, ramping, wash trading, and spoofing.
Assist in developing market abuse risk analysis frameworks and mapping trade surveillance controls to effectively address residual risks.
Review, maintain, and enhance the settings of the trade surveillance system, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy through parameter calibration.
Develop and implement surveillance rules to expand coverage for detecting market misconduct, aligning with the latest regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with the IT team, conducting user acceptance tests, identifying system improvements, and fine-tuning functionalities.
skills & experiences required.
Bachelor degree in Law, Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in compliance and/or trade surveillance, or in reputable brokerage firms' dealing rooms (with exposure to back-end trade monitoring being advantageous).
Demonstrate a strong understanding of trade surveillance systems, programming languages, and proficiency in VBA/Python to optimize workflows and enhance system performance.
Exhibit a comprehensive knowledge of various financial instrument types, encompassing equities, fixed income, rates, derivatives, and foreign exchange leverage products.
Display a thorough understanding of SFC codes of conduct, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
