Application Development and Architecture Design/Implementation:

Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance digital solutions.
Quickly analyze user requirements, existing system flows, and business logic to apply technologies that address business challenges.
Engage in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), from design and development to testing and documentation, adhering to enterprise standards.
Oversee the development of frontend (web and mobile) and business logic layers.
Manage a team of software engineers to create complex applications utilizing microservices architecture, when applicable.
Direct agile development on the cloud using DevOps and the latest technologies.
Ensure solution design and implementation meet or exceed stability and performance targets across all components, including infrastructure.
Proficiently analyze and design applications, ensuring cross-platform compatibility and optimization.
Independently comprehend and navigate complex applications.
Facilitate smooth production operations for application systems and swiftly troubleshoot production issues.
Collaborate with offshore teams or vendors on application development, participating in design and code reviews.
Drive continuous improvement for existing systems and streamline the software development process to maintain software integrity.
Support the Digital Delivery & Transformation team in defining and managing strategic goals for the company digital channels and tracking implementation success.

System Support and Technical Advice:

Analyze technical issues and devise cost-effective solutions.
Troubleshoot and support production problems, providing effective resolutions.
Advocate for software engineering principles and best practices within the developer community.
Provide training to enhance IT knowledge related to business applications.
Conduct research on new IT technologies, preparing reports and recommendations.
Lead projects, preparing and monitoring project schedules.
Propose best practices for application development and system support.
Assess the feasibility of system upgrades, including operating systems, application frameworks, and SDKs.

Other Responsibilities:

Ensure that deliverables and systems comply with relevant standards and guidelines.
Perform other tasks assigned by management to achieve business objectives.
Stay updated on the latest digital implementations and drive their execution.
Ensure team members engaged in regulated activities possess necessary licenses and meet licensing requirements.
Maintain compliance with the Group Security and other standards for all group’s projects and BAU deliverables.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
At least 8 years of experience in relevant roles
Knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred.
Experience in digital development and cloud technologies is essential.

Proficient in full-stack digital development technologies, including React Native/Vue.js, Node.js, iOS/Android app development, Java, Spring Boot, IBM WebSphere/JBoss, Kafka, and Single Sign-On.
Experience in API development and microservices architecture design.
Familiarity with cloud and data technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, MongoDB, Data Lake, Python).
Knowledge of container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams using DevOps methodologies.
Understanding of identity access management standards, such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, or SAML.
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Analytics is a plus.
