about the company.
Our client is a multi-national luxury resort chain with over 100 locations spanning the globe. They have been established for almost 50 years and are currently expanding exponentially. They are looking to double their property count by 2020 and are looking for high calibre individuals to join their group.

about the team.
Their in house IT team is constantly expanding due to business needs and are currently looking to hire an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their team. The role will work closely with other IT divisions as well as other business functions and departments.
about the job.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to communicate with and manage both business matters and technical processes and arrangements.
You will be responsible for leading projects during various stages to solve complex business problems and to meet business objectives and requirements. You will also be able to manage the project timeline, quality, costs, resources as well as internal teams and external vendors. You will liaise with different business users and departments and also provide technical leadership to ensure systems are running smoothly and user expectations are met.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Assist in opening new locations and property
  • Manage the deployment of infrastructure within these new sites and properties
  • Be involved in pre-opening stages for sites and also be doing on site project management once locations are ready
  • Manage UAT processes
  • Understand the business needs in a strategic way and define initiatives to work with business units to meet those goals
  • Conduct feasibility studies, define the scope of business opportunities, prepare the business case and conduct risk assessment
  • Collect business requirements from stakeholders, compile detailed business requirements to provide quality solution and prioritize the importance of implementation
  • Advise management on the latest technology trends and best practices
  • Provide regular project status update report to management and project sponsor
  • Perform post-implementation review of the project
  • Perform duties and special projects as assigned by supervisors or reporting managers
skills & experiences required.
  • University degree in the field of Information Technology preferred
  • Minimum 8 years relevant IT experience; experience in IT systems within hospitality/consumer/building & construction industries highly preferred
  • Articulate in communication, especially with all layers of management in a non-technical language
  • Confident, self-reliant, ambitions, goal oriented; a good role model and team player
  • Ability to take initiative and work effectively in flexible environment
  • Technical experience with Office 365, SharePoint, and K2 is preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification holders will have a definite advantage
  • Fluency in written and oral English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
