About the role

Provide leadership and guidance to the quantity surveying team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects within budget and time constraints.
Manage and supervise the preparation of accurate and detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
Review and negotiate contracts, including terms and conditions, variations, and claims, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Monitor project costs, cash flow, and financial performance, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management.
Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate project risks, including contractual, financial, and commercial risks.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project budgets and cost control measures.
Manage and resolve disputes or conflicts related to quantity surveying matters, both internally and externally.
Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying, and implement relevant changes to improve processes and procedures.

What you'll need

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
min. 15 years years experience in QS field
Extensive experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on cost management and contract administration.
Proven track record in managing projects and leading a team of quantity surveyors.
In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and relevant legislation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
