As a Senior Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability for the consumer electronics category.
- Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and product selection to ensure a competitive and compelling product assortment.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape, and translate insights into actionable merchandising plans.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from selection and procurement to inventory management and assortment planning.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze key metrics, and make data-driven recommendations for assortment optimization and pricing strategies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, and logistics to ensure seamless execution of merchandising initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements to proactively adapt strategies and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Coach, mentor, and lead a team of merchandising professionals to foster a high-performance and collaborative work environment.
skills & experiences required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in merchandising, product management, or buying roles within the consumer electronics industry.
- Strong knowledge of consumer electronics market trends, brands, and products.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a consumer electronics category, ideally in a buying office or large retail organization.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed merchandising decisions.
- Proficient in using merchandising software and tools.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
