    Our client is a reputable investment bank with global presence. Currently they are looking for an experienced and presentable professional to join their procurement team in Hong Kong to take up the IT procurement tasks across APAC.

    about the team.

    Together with another IT procurement professional, you two will be responsible for handling all IT related procurement duties across APAC. Within the team, there are 2 more professionals handling non-IT procurement and 1 taking up the procurement process and governance duties.

    about the job.

    As a Senior IT Procurement Manager, you are responsible for

    • Manage and facilitate the procurement of any IT related services and goods, particularly the data centre, communication, network and consulting services across APAC.
    • Develop and maintain trusted and reliable supplier relationships, both regionally and locally, to ensure sustainable and improving service quality at an acceptable level of risk and cost.
    • Define regional and local IT category strategies aligned with the global direction.
    • Negotiate, review and award procurement contracts in line with bank's procedures.
    • Support the implementation of global agreements within APAC.
    • Safeguard awareness of conditions of agreements by working alongside regional and local business functions to ensure compliance can be monitored.
    • Build rapport with regional and local business functions to ensure procurement team's involvement in supplier selection and negotiation within APAC.
    • Mitigate supplier risk associated with procurement and supplier management in conjunction with the legal team.
    • Ensure proper reporting and documentations for expenses and procurement project status, together with associated quality improvement or savings achieved, within the APAC region.
    • Identify potential supplier risk and provide corrective measures or mitigation plan to contribute to the procurement control framework.
    skills & experiences required.

    To be successful at this position, you need

    • At least 10 year experience in IT procurement, with 5 year or above experience of taking up a senior procurement role in the financial service industry.
    • Bachelor degree or above from a reputable university, preferably with certification such as CPM, CPSM or CIPS.
    • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
    • Strong attention to details and good analytical and computer literacy skills.
    • Cultural adaptability to achieve key objectives within a MNC environment.
    • Good team player and strong stakeholder management experience.
