    Our client is a reputable retailer with multiple supermarkets/ department stores in Hong Kong. The company has always been innovative and is committed to bringing the best shopping experience with high-quality service to its customers. They are expanding rapidly and is known as one of the most beloved department store and supermarket in the city. To cope with their recent expansion, they are hiring a buying professional to join their team.

    about the job.
    • Managing the assigned category, formulating assortment and allocation plans
    • Setting seasonal OTB budget, conducting inventory analysis and management, and setting prices
    • Proposing buying plan with new merchandise which in line with the business strategies
    • Liaising with vendors on terms and conditions, pricing and purchase ordering issues
    • Proposing the retail price of merchandise within the assigned categories
    • Identifying potential business opportunities, exploring new and emerging category/brand
    • Sourcing new, exclusive and potential products from suppliers
    • Liaising with suppliers on product ordering, pricing and shipment issues
    • Conducting analysis and management and setting prices for products
    • Working closely with internal stakeholders for promotions, visual merchandising and other ad-hoc projects
    skills & experiences required.
    • Diploma or above
    • 3+ years of buying experience in the retail industry, preferably with experience with Household/ Personal Care/ FMCG/ Grocery products
    • Strong business acumen with excellent negotiation and analytical skills
    • Proactive, strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to work independently
    • Strong negotiation skills and presentation skills
    • Great command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
