about the company.

Our client is a rapidly expanding Digital solutions company with a global presence, focusing on further development within the Asia Pacific region. As a Senior Business Development Manager in Hong Kong, you will negotiate, close and manage your sales in Greater China. You will both identify new business opportunities and build key customer accounts.
This is a high-profile role collaborating with our global sales team, and you will be interacting with senior client decision-makers (e.g. C-level, VP, etc.). This role reports into the Sales Leadership team in Singapore.

  • Generate a pipeline of opportunities through a combination of lead generation and warm relationship development
  • Lead on new business pitches and presentations, flexibly adjusting your pitch to the clients’ specific upskilling needs and crafting the suite of solutions best suited in each scenario
  • Successfully convert leads into contacts into sales
  • Ensure that presentations, collateral and other client facing materials are of the highest standard
  • Provide timely, accurate and informative internal reporting to senior management
  • Work effectively with internal product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver on a successful client and student experience for repeat purchases
  • Nurture existing accounts for growth
  • Gain a good understanding of the product offerings and ability to identify suitable solutions for different clients
  • Develop your personal knowledge/comfort level with macro digital trends and digital transformation needs in order to identify customisation opportunities for large clients
skills & experiences required.
  • Proven track record within a B2B sales environment in the Hong Kong market
  • High end pitching credentials, with strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • An exceptional communicator
  • A ‘people person’ who is brimming with energy, positivity and charm
  • Well-networked with blue-chip clients in the APAC region with focus on Greater China
  • Experienced with CRM B2B systems (i.e. Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Meticulous about presentations – how you present yourself, your company, and how you create engaging proposals for clients
  • Obsessive about numbers – spreadsheets aren’t daunting to you, and you’re an analytical thinker who works well in Excel
  • Passionate about professional upskilling and learning – you recognise the importance of being able to stay on top of the changing world to be successful
  • Excited to work in a start-up environment – you’re looking forward to rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in everything we do
  • Fluent in Mandarin as well as English
