Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and analysis
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training to develop their skills
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, responding to inquiries and providing requested documentation
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing recommendations
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed to support the finance department and broader organization
Provide strategic financial advice and insights to management to support decision-making
Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and implement necessary updates
Requirement
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or CMA certification preferred
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of the accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
Proficient in the use of accounting software, spreadsheets, and other finance-related technology
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality
Collaborative mindset and willingness to work cross-functionally with other departments
