about the company

Our client is one of the largest banking institutions in the world with strong presence in global financial centres. Currently, they are hiring an AVP to join its Regulatory Reporting team (Finance) in Hong Kong APAC headquarter.

about the job

You will:

  • Prepare statistical surveys and HKMA returns including liquidity ratio, LMR, large exposure etc, handle regulatory reporting in accordance to HKMA standards
  • Monitor daily liquidity risk and ensure stable funding requirements
  • Participate in month-end closing process, maintain and reconcile general ledger
  • Prepare Head Office reporting packs on monthly basis
  • Liaises with HKMA regulators, internal and external auditors in provision of financial reports
  • Take part in workflow streamlining, system implementation projects
  • Assist in ad hoc reports when required

skills and experience required:

  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Qualified member in HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in HKMA returns and regulatory reporting gained from sizable bank
  • Prior knowledge in corporate bank products such as trade finance, corporate loans is desired
  • Proactive, highly organized and ability to meet monthly deadlines
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to fit in a multinational work culture
  • Proficient user in MS Excel such as VBA, Macro
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
