Reporting to CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related matters within the region:
- Develop and implement tax strategies that minimize the organization's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on tax planning, including mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing, and cross-border transactions.
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and communicate the impact of such changes to internal stakeholders.
- Manage and lead a team of tax professionals, providing coaching and guidance to foster their professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and senior management, to develop and execute tax-efficient business strategies.
- Conduct tax risk assessments and implement appropriate controls to mitigate potential risks.
- Build and maintain relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in tax management, preferably within a multinational corporation. Candidate with big 4 tax team experience and commercial experience is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of local and international tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex tax legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
