What does the role involve?
• Complete and analyze corporate income tax returns for Hong Kong and Singapore, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting team to oversee global direct and indirect taxes, minimizing tax controversies and assessing VAT/GST exposure.
• Provide insightful analysis of tax data, including effective tax rates (ETR), and develop improvement plans for management consideration.
• Work closely with the Finance and Accounting team to support the completion of the Group's interim and annual reporting.
• Prepare and review tax inquiries, both domestic and international, for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated on the latest tax developments and regulations in Hong Kong, providing insights on their impact and recommending appropriate actions.
• Monitor tax assessments and payment trends, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategic plans.
• Offer guidance on business transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to ensure global tax compliance.
• Assist in the management of external advisors, reviewing deliverables and monitoring the tax professional fee budget.
What experience do you need?
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of tax planning, analysis, and reporting, along with an understanding of indirect tax principles.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to provide insightful recommendations based on tax data.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in tax-related activities.
• Familiarity with the latest tax regulations and willingness to stay updated on industry trends
