about the company

A reputable European corporate bank is looking for a VP to join their Regional Internal Audit Department in Hong Kong. As a global leader in corporate financing, it is seeking to further expand its presence in Asia Pacific.

about the role

You will:

  • be responsible for implementing operational and credit audit assignments for the Bank in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific
  • perform risk-based audit assessments, work with multiple business units and highlight risk issues to key stakeholders
  • evaluate effectiveness of existing controls across the Bank, design action plans to mitigate risk exposure in accordance to regulations and professional standards
  • review credit function of the bank, identify areas of improvement
  • prepare audit comments and recommendations, summarize audit issues, findings and results
  • supervise audit projects conducted by team members and ensure quality controls are in place
  • partner with stakeholders including regulators, auditors, business units and department heads

about the team

Multinational and diverse culture, open-minded, flexible

skills and experience required

  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 8-10 years' business audit experience gained from Big 4 or foreign wholesale banks
  • Excellent project management, planning and execution skills
  • Strong leadership and management ability to mentor junior auditors
  • Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with business unites and regional offices
  • Good command of English, Mandarin and Cantonese
