About Our Client:

Our client is recognised as a top tier bank globally, they are currently looking to hire an Assistant Manager to their financial controlling team for APAC expansion, the position will be handling 60% on leading APAC projects, internal control process & risk assessment, 40% working as a reviewer to monitor P&L, Accounting FX positioning and product analysis as well as to monitor the marginal and operational calculations for middle office on recent transactions or tradings.

Job Responsibilities

Perform the P&L, Accounting FX position & Mark to Market to Equity reconciliation between Middle Office and accounting
Investigate & explain the differences between the Middle Office and the Accounting P&L (structural differences or P&L corrections)
Maintain the system and reports used in the P&L and FX reconciliation process.
Maintain the monthly issue log; prepare materials & coordinate the closing meeting with key stakeholders in Middle Office, Back Office & local finance to review the key issues identified & defined relevant action plan.
Identify efficiency (automation) in the process & open to transformation & changes
Manage control related projects such as testing, control plan design and implementation, and Finance system data flow.
Follow-up of the findings and recommendations closure including internal and external auditor recommendations involving APAC Finance.
Ensure the oversight of accounting controls performed by Capital Market Products Operations based on
monthly control results.
Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by senior management

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance & Accounting or any related disciplines
At least 4-6 years of working experience, welcome Big4 with FI background or in-house applications with internal control or management reporting experience
CPA, CFA or FRM Qualification will be a PLUS
Ability to work under time pressure and in a complex environment with stakeholders from various areas
Self-organized, with strong ability to anticipate, plan and priorities issues
Experience in leading projects or job engagements, Regional Exposure will be a PLUS
Good communication skills and able to handle senior management in APAC and HQ
