- Provide leadership and guidance to the quantity surveying team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects within budget and time constraints.
- Manage and supervise the preparation of accurate and detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
- Review and negotiate contracts, including terms and conditions, variations, and claims, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and financial performance, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate project risks, including contractual, financial, and commercial risks.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project budgets and cost control measures.
- Manage and resolve disputes or conflicts related to quantity surveying matters, both internally and externally.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying, and implement relevant changes to improve processes and procedures.
skills & experiences required.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- min. 8 years years experience in QS field
- Extensive experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on cost management and contract administration.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and relevant legislation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
