As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to effectively source raw materials for food items in line with their quality standards
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships to ensure the reliable and timely delivery of raw materials
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and availability of raw materials
- Work closely with the culinary team to understand ingredient requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment with quality and taste standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including central kitchen and warehousing team, to optimize procurement processes and inventory management
- Stay informed about food safety regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence in the procurement of raw materials
- Continuously evaluate and improve the procurement function, keeping up with industry best practices and technological advancements
skills & experiences required.
- Previous experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role, preferably in the food and beverage industry
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing and purchasing raw materials for food items, demonstrating a strong understanding of quality standards and specifications
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing procurement processes
- Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
