Our client is a global insurer looking to bring on a Senior Project Manager to implement new financial reporting procedures according to the IFRS-17 across their APAC offices. This company is a market leader in the insurance field and a household name that are aggressively expanding and heavily invested in being pioneers in Insurance advancements. about the job.

  • Manage and support IT programs/projects scope and demand, understand and agree on business priority
  • Identify and actively manage key program/project risk and dependencies
  • Competent in project planning and tracking
  • Lead project working groups from end-to-end and liaise with cross functional stakeholders to support the implementation and local execution
  • Report and communicate regularly on project status, key issues, risk and dependencies
  • Work with vendors to ensure deliverables are tracked for completion with quality
  • Produce regular dashboard and management reporting
  • Support the team with preparation and execution of annual budget planning and monthly forecasting
  • Track and report on financials and key metrics. Review and analyze trends and provide commentary for primary drivers and variances to management
  • Perform ad hoc projects or tasks as assigned by management
skills & experience required.

  • University graduate with major in Computer Science / Engineering / Business Management or equivalent
  • 7-10+ years of relevant experience, preferred to be gained from financial services industries
  • Prior experience in leading projects related to IFRS implementation will be a significant advantage
  • Solid track-record of managing large and complex reporting implementation projects
  • Possess experience of managing and leading large teams
  • Solid experience of managing off shore development team
  • PMP or Prince2 certifications
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Good critical thinking and decision-making skills, ability to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good time management and able to work under pressure with tight timelines
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English
