Our client is one of the largest employers in Hong Kong with dominant positions in a variety of businesses. With the launch of their stable business development plan, they are currently looking for a Procurement Director/ Senior Procurement Manager to join their Procurement Team.

about the team.

There are over 100 people within procurement department, which include different procurement functions such as process and governance, IT, corporate service and so on. With the recent expansion plan, they are planning to hire some more talents for the process and governance team, which would be expected to have 5-6 headcounts eventually.

about the job.

As a Procurement Director (Process and Governance), you will

  • Review and constantly improve policies and standards to ensure they are in full compliances with the procurement framework and company ethical practices are properly enforced.
  • Strengthen procurement governance and control to mitigate risk while at the same time ensure procurement performance KPIs and service level agreement (SLAs).
  • Review, improve and streamline existing procurement processes by incorporating technology solutions.
  • Develop and roll out standard operating documents.
  • Oversee the execution and implementation of strategic procurement transformation and project initiatives.
  • Supervise and coach junior staff in order to ensure requisitions are completed as scheduled.
  • Analyse and identify process gaps and facilitate continuous improvement within procurement function.

skills & experiences required.

To be successful in this position, you need

  • Bachelor degree (Procurement, Business Administration or related disciplines) in a recognised university, preferably with qualifications of CIPS.
  • At least 15 year working experience at a sizable organisation with a solid experience in developing process and procedures within procurement department.
  • Experience in managing procurement policies/ govenrance of other regions.
  • Experience in using ERP system, Oracle in particular, to support procurement activities is highly preferred.
  • Excellent command in written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Candidate with less experience (i.e. 7 year or above) can be considered as Procurement Manager (Process and Governance).
