One of the leading Chinese investment firms is looking for a VP to lead their Private Equity Compliance team.
about the job
- Supervising and leading a team of 4 in handling all compliance matters in Private Equity business; not limited to business compliance, investment compliance, projects etc
- Providing compliance advice to business units (traders, portfolio managers, marketing team etc) and managements
- Ensuring compliance in business operation, PE fund company formation and work-flow etc
- Reviewing and updating policies and procedures to ensure adherence with latest regulations and internal policies
- Reviewing and advising on new business initiatives from a Compliance practice/Best Practice
- Reviewing fund documents and marketing materials
- Liaising with external parties regarding compliance matters, including external compliance consultant, auditors, law enforcement and regulators
skills & experiences required
- University Degree in Law, Accounting, Finance or relevant disciplines
- At least 8 years compliance experience, strong knowledge in private equities business is a must. Offshore funds would be an advantage
- Legal candidates with strong Private Equities/Offshore Funds experience would be considered, as well as candidates from law firms
- People manager experience would be an advantage
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese
