Our client is a reputable F&B company that holds chained Cantonese cuisine restaurants in Guangzhou. As they see business opportunities in Hong Kong, they are looking for a Operations Lead to join and help set up the restaurants in Hong Kong.

about the team.Reporting to the founders, you are expected to be a local in Hong Kong with permanent HK ID card. You should have at around 5 years of Chinese cuisine & restaurants set up experience in Hong Kong. You should have a proven track record in negotiating leases, navigating the local legislation and managing the license application process. The role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in the F&B industry.

This is a 3-year full time contract.

• Assist the establishment of new restaurants in Hong Kong
• Negotitate favorable lease terms with landlords for restaurant spaces
• Conduct market research to inform negotiations and identify suitable locations
• Understand and advise on local regulations affecting restaurant operations
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
• Guide the founders through the license application process, including food & beverage licenses, prepare necessary documentation and liaise with government authorities
• Assist in developing operational plans, including staffing and menu design; provide insights on best practices and industry trends
• Coordinate with contractors, designers and suppliers to ensure timely execution of projects
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines

skills & experiences required.

• 5 years of proven experience as an F&B consultant or in a similar role within the restaurant industry
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong's food and beverage regulations and licensing processes
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Proficient in Cantonese speaking, Traditional Chinese reading and writing is REQUIRED; ability to read and write Simplified Chinese will have advantage
