You will have a direct reporting line to the Head of Risk and work closely with another senior operational risk team member who is not only pleasant to work with but also excels in collaborating with others.

Conduct the collection, investigation, and monitoring of operational risk incidents independently
Review operational risk incident reports, collaborate with relevant stakeholders to rectify errors, and implement effective controls to mitigate future risks
Update internal incident records and manage incident reports using the relevant system, coordinating with the operational team at headquarters
Conduct regular reviews on RCA and KRI, perform trend analysis, and contribute to enhancing the operational risk management framework
Manage the internal new business launch process, including conducting risk analysis and recommending control measures for new business or product development
Provide internal training to enhance awareness of operational risk management methodologies

skills & experiences required.

Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
Preferred qualifications include holding a FRM/CFA
5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on recent operational risk management or experience in internal control, auditing, or procedural review
Display a keen interest in the financial industry and have a solid understanding of various brokerage and investment banking businesses
Excellent command of Mandarin and English, with a good command of Cantonese preferred
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player
Demonstrated ability to multitask, set priorities, and manage workload effectively
Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Associate, Operational Risk position
Candidates with risk consulting experience in Big 4 would be considered as well
