Our client is a leading company in the garments manufacturing industry with a strong business presence in the market. Due to its expansion plan, there is a newly created Merchandising Director (Outerwear Materials) in the merchandising team.

about the job.As a Merchandising Director (Outerwear Materials), you will be responsible for
  • Developing and implementing the strategic sourcing plan in order to fulfill the business needs, eg. fabric and trims manufacturing services
  • Keeping abreast with the current market trends for sustainable materials and manufacturing practices
  • Develop material capability roadmap, conducting price quotation and negotiation, costing, market sample development, forecasting, and vendor capacity management
  • Implementing sourcing strategies and ensuring business allocation is in line to support strategic opportunities and the business
skills & experiences required.
  • Degree Holder in related disciplines
  • Minimum 9 year working experience related to apparel material development
  • Profound knowledge in outerwear material (fabric and trims) including sustainabile materials
  • Detail-oriented with excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficieny in both spoken and written English, Mandarin and/or Thai
  • Organized and with excellent negotiation skills
  • Passionate and enthusiastic, with great people management skills
