Partner closely with the front office to advise, review, assess risk for investment deals globally, ranging from private equity, pre-IPO/IPO, real estate, acquisition finace, leveraged finance, secondary loans, etc.
Serve as one of the members in the investment committee and participate in the decision making and approval process for major investment projects for the group.
Drive increased front office risk awareness through regular challenge and analytical assessment.
Establish and maintain risk policies for the management of asset management portfolios and ensure implementation of the policies in an effective manner.
Liaise and hold discussions with business units in developing risk methodologies and metrics.
Take the lead to manage the risk management team in Hong Kong, with primary responsibility to cover investment risk and oversee market risk functions across the APAC region.
Keep abreast of the latest industry developments, maintain alertness to cope with internal and regulatory guidelines and market environmental changes.
Support business initiatives upon new product launch and risk framework establishment during new branch set up
skills & experiences required.
Bachelor Degree or above, ideally from a quantitative discipline
At least 12-15 years of experience in risk management with a focus on investment risk from the private equity/investment banking industry, previous experience in market risk, sales and trading, investment banking, investment management would be a plus.
Product knowledge of asset classes including equities, fixed income, loan, real estate investment and private equity investment
Good knowledge of data analysis using statistical or programming tools
Strong communication, analytical and project management skills
Proficiency in both written and spoken English
