about the job
- You will handle complex underwriting cases and review underwriting referrals.
- You will be responsible for reviewing underwriting strategy, developing governance framework, portfolio steering and management, etc.
- You will communicate with various internal parties to lead and drive the company's strategic initiatives through assisting in developing underwriting strategies on new product development, micro/partnership products and digital platforms, etc.
- You will conduct periodic underwriting file audits in accordance with the audit protocols to ensure entities’ business discipline against entities’ underwriting principles and delegations of authority.
- You will manage the local and regional P&L and associated business strategies to achieve profitable growth for the region and deliver the expected performance metrics, focusing on underlying result-and-loss ratio.
- You will provide internal underwriting and technical training.
skills & experiences required
- You are a Bachelor Degree Holder, preferably with ACII or FCII
- You have 5+ years of P&C underwriting experience.
- You have a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape, especially in Asia Pacific.
- You have strong interpersonal, influencing and management skills.
- You are customer-oriented, people-centric and a team player.
