about the company.

My client is an Asset Management firm, who is looking to hire a Legal Counsel to support their expanding business in Asia. about the team. Reporting to General Counsel, you will join a small legal team and support a broad range of legal matters in the Asia Pacific region. about the job.
  • You will cover Asia region and support on distribution, mandates, corporate matters, procurement/suppliers, trading etc.
  • You will draft, review and negotiate on a board range of legal document relating to the business in Asia, in particular in relation to new product/mandate launches
  • You will advice on legal and regulatory issues relating to the business activities
  • You will organize and draft board papers, as well as to assist with the organization of board meetings
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by Head of Legal from time to time
skills & experiences required.
  • You need to have 2-5 years PQE with another Asset Management firm or large multinational law firm advising the financial services sector
  • You need to have good drafting and negotiating skills in both English and Chinese
  • Experience in advising on investment management across a range of jurisdictions is preferred
  • Good understanding of the different cultural nuances across Asia
