About our client

Our client is a global FMCG MNC that produces home care / personal care products.

They are looking for a Key Account Manager to manage supermarket accounts (e.g. Wellcome, PNS, Manning’s, Watson’s, etc.).

You will be responsible for client management, creating and executing strategy initiatives, category management (including assortment, work with Trade Marketing team on campaigns and planning), negotiation, new product launch, analysis, reporting, regular forecasting, and so on.

Job Descriptions

  • Responsible for achieving strategic objectives per customer – ie Net Revenue, Cop, Gross Margin, Trade Spend
  • Building long term partnership with the customer and ensuring sales promotional guidelines are planned and executed in-store with excellence
  • Leading the execution of promotional strategy & sales initiatives of the customer to drive sales and profit growth (including trade budget management, range and space optimisation)
  • Monitoring and providing analysis as the source of new shoppers insights, competitive strategies and effective portfolio brand management for the customer
  • Managing customer negotiations in relation to brand commercial strategy and the customer trading terms
  • Implementation and ongoing management of the category strategy per customer
  • Developing customer new product launch plans and ensuring successful implementation
  • Continuous improvement in the management of the account by identifying opportunities for efficiency and profitability and overall improvement in the management of customer
  • Grow net revenue and manage gross margin & Trade Spend by customer
  • Managing effective relationships with increasing demand/ retailers
  • Effectively managing and driving brand presence in highly competitive categories
  • Deliver an excellent customer execution that adds value to customers and contributes to long term profitable customer growth

Requirements

  • Degree holder
  • A minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG Key Account Management
  • Fast-paced, ambitious with strong negotiation & communications skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Passionate in learning about the marine industry, attend to latest market information in terms of pricing, policies, or any changes that would affect the fuel prices
  • Strong negotiation skills and decision making ability
  • Experienced in order management and payment control
  • Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivating
  • Tenacious and resilient, driven to achieve even when faced with obstacles
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills capable of building strong working relationships and influencing and customers and internal teams
  • Strong commercial understanding of business issues/opportunities
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Must be fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin because you will be looking after an international market
