    Our client is one of the largest employers in Hong Kong with dominant positions in a variety of businesses. With the launch of their stable business development plan, they are currently looking for a Procurement Manager to join their IT Procurement Team.

    about the team.

    There are over 100 people within procurement department, which include different procurement functions such as corporate and governance, IT, corporate service and so on. Under the IT procurement team, you will work alongside 15 teammates to cover all related duties.

    about the job.

    Being the IT Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for

    • Source and conduct tendering for ICT related products and services from documentations, briefing/ interviews to supplier evaluation and negotiation.
    • Manage the end-to-end RFX process and procurement cycle time, as well as lead the prequalification process and related documentations.
    • Support the development of IT procurement strategy with stakeholders to ensure internal governance and procurement policy being met.
    • Drive daily procurement operations, from executing contracts, obtaining approval, and mentoring juniors in ordering confirmation.
    • Contribute to long-term IT category planning through in-depth cost analysis and supplier research to identify and qualify potential suppliers.
    • Collect supplier performance feedback, monitor supplier performance and support supplier evaluations in line with KPIs and feedback.
    • Build and enhance supplier relationship to support the execution of procurement strategy.
    • Identify potential supplier risk and support post contract management and change management initiatives.
    • Contribute to procurement transformation by identifying process gaps, conducting market analysis and benchmarking and sharing of best practices.

    skills & experiences required.

    To be successful in this position, you need

    • Bachelor degree (Procurement, Business Administration or related disciplines) in a recognised university, preferably with qualifications of CIPS.
    • At least 7 year working experience at a sizeable organisation with a very strong focus on IT procurement field.
    • Familiar with purchase orders, and IT contract terms & conditions.
    • Familiar with managing end-to-end tendering process.
    • Excellent command in written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Office. Experience in using Oracle ERP system is a plus.
