Collaborate with leadership to develop effective IT strategies and system designs that align with business objectives.
Provide guidance and mentor-ship to team members, focusing on recruitment, training, and professional growth.
Lead the implementation of new IT services and technology initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
Support business expansion efforts by exploring new markets and innovative product offerings.
Advise management on the delivery, costs, and functionality of IT services to ensure alignment with overall business strategy.
Establish guidelines for system development to ensure consistency and security throughout the process.
Identify and address potential IT risks and compliance issues.
Implement quality assurance processes to ensure adherence to organisational policies and controls.
Stay informed about technology trends to ensure the IT department remains competitive and effective.
Manage budget and resource allocation for optimal efficiency.
Oversee the development and performance of team members.

skills & experiences required.

University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in solution architecture, IT delivery, quality assurance, and system testing for major life insurance platforms, such as LifeAsia and Sinosoft, as well as investment systems.
Familiarity with Hong Kong Insurance Authority Guidelines and experience with the ISO 27001 control framework.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals.
Strong leadership and management skills, capable of motivating teams to achieve results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and engage with various departments and stakeholders.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to IT and life insurance.
Fluent in Cantonese, Putonghua, and English.
Candidates with less experience may be considered for a Senior Manager position.
