about the company.

Our client is an international onshore law firm, they are looking for an HR specialist to take care of the Regulatory & Operations across APAC. about the team.This role reports to the Senior HR Manager and works closely with partners and other HR teammates. about the job.Law Society
  • Prepare Law Society notification on a weekly and an annual basis.
  • Process HK admission applications.
  • Process Registered Foreign Lawyer applications.
  • Handle renewal process of HK practising certificates and Registered Foreign Lawyer status.
  • Assist with the renewal process of UK practicing certificates.
  • Process OLQE applications and work with relevant parties to prepare for OLQE examinations.
  • Manage all HR administrative processes to ensure compliance with local regulatory issues.
  • Handle all Law Society / regulatory related enquiries.
Professional Indemnity
  • Prepare Professional Indemnity monthly notification, quarterly return and annual renewal.
Immigration
  • Manage and process work visa applications and China visa applications for new hires and existing staff.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of work visa and China visa expiry dates. Monitor the expiry datesand prepare visa extension applications.
  • Prepare and submit leavers’ notification to Immigration Authority.
  • Prepare statistical return on Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals to Immigration Authority.
On boarding / Off boarding Administration
  • Monitor on boarding and off boarding administration in conjunction with the attorney and support staff recruiting teams to ensure that tasks relevant to compliance aspects are completed in a timely manner (e.g. business cards, attorneys’ profiles).
  • Assist in the administration of online compliance courses and other firm wide training.

General HR
  • Liaise with IT to update names of partners on letterhead when necessary.
  • Maintain and keep up-to-date database of lawyers’ legal qualifications.
  • Assist with BD pitch related enquiries.
  • Help to maintain HR pages on the intranet (K&E Connect).
  • Assist with the organization of office events.
  • To undertake any other tasks or responsibilities that reasonably fall within the remit of this position.
skills & experiences required.
  • Tertiary education and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience. An HR qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Hong Kong Law Society rules is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service orientation with strong communication skills and the ability to work with attorneys and staff at all levels.
  • Team player with flexible, hands-on attitude.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
