Our client is one of the largest banking groups specializes in providing retail and corporate bank, global wealth management and investment banking services. Currently, the Bank is hiring a Team Head for their Regulatory Reporting team in Hong Kong.

about the job

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Finance, you will:

  • Lead and supervise a team to perform banking returns according to HKMA requirements
  • Review financial disclosures and regulatory reports in compliance with the Banking Ordinance
  • Ensure all returns and HKMA reports are conducted accurately and in a timely manner
  • Update the team with any regulatory changes in HKMA or CBRC and facilitate changes in procedure manual when necessary
  • Take initiatives to formulate ideas on improving workflow, system enhancement and process streamlining
  • Maintain effective communication with subordinates and Department Head in relation to regulatory reporting matters



skills and experience required

  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • At least 8 years’ experience in HKMA reporting gained from the banking sector
  • Supervisory and leadership experience is a required
  • Technically solid in regulatory reporting and HKMA standards
  • Good analytical and reporting skills. highly organized and able to work under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to lead team and drive necessary changes
  • Good command of English, Mandarin and Cantonese
