about the team.You will report to the General Manager of Corporate Services, who oversees all corporate functions within the corporation. While you, as the senior procurement manager, will be in charge of the procurement function, from building the team, to develop procurement policies.
about the job.As a Senior Procurement Manager, you are responsible for
- Build the procurement team from scratch to implement centralised procurement strategies and procedures, and ultimately enhance the overall efficiency of procurement.
- Drive the transition from decentralised to centralised approach by liaising with key stakeholders, including but not limited to all budget owners, department heads and vendors.
- Develop and implement centralised procurement processes, policies and procedures
- Lead the end-to-end procurement processes on behalf of the organisation, from tendering, quotation, negotiation, all the way to contracting and vendor review.
- Review and develop processes to streamline and enhance the procurement practices, as well as mitigating the third party risk.
skills & experiences required.To be successful at this position, you need
- University degree from a recognised university.
- At least 15 year experience within relevant field, with at least 5 years experience in people management role.
- All-rounded experience in procurement field by taking up different categories, as well as engaging in the end-to-end procurement process.
- Experience in developing centralised procurement team and policies from scratch.
- Flexibility to be able to single-handedly handle procurement tasks as well as lead a team.
