about the job.

  • Explore growth options and develop business plans that will create additional value
  • Develop strategy to extend product reach and capabilities
  • Explore, evaluate and execute strategies to develop the business.
  • Engage key stakeholders across different functions and relevant external stakeholders (e.g. governmental, regulatory) that impact the business
  • Attract, motivate and develop talent and leverage teams effectively across the company
  • Develop and validate business value drivers and business case for major programs, prioritize transformation program investments, and track delivery to business value outcomes as programs are executed
  • Effectively oversee the day-to-day delivery of strategic and transformation initiatives across business functions
skills & experiences required.
  • Over 15 years’ experience in Equity Research Sales, Investment Banking (M&A) or Asset Management in the Hong Kong / Asian financial markets at Executive Director or Managing Director level. Knowledge of Index market is preferable.
  • Experience in providing data and analytics services for financial markets in Asia
  • Familiar with the capital markets (equity and fixed income) in Hong Kong and China, as well as understanding broader financial markets in Asia and global
  • Good understanding of the factors affecting business growth and competition in the region as well as those impacting the index industry
  • Strong negotiation skills to deal with senior management of potential partners to demonstrate necessary gravitas and experience to represent Hang Seng in negotiations
  • Strong sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • University degree / MBA with good knowledge in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
