A team of 8-10 credit approvers in Hong Kong covering corporate and FI credit

about the job.

Lead, manage and operate the credit approval team based in Hong Kong to conduct credit review and approval for a range of client consist of large corporates, financial institutions and sovereign in accordance with the credit standards of the bank
Advise the business on deal structuring regarding complex transaction and prepare credit proposals; work closely with senior stakeholders on the approval process
Drive and support credit related business initiatives, including policy/ procedure review to scope with regulatory and economic changes
Responsible for daily credit risk management and assessment and take prompt actions for material risk-related issues and report to senior management if required

skills & experiences required.

Bachelor degree or above, Master degree holder/CPA/CRM would be a plus
At least 12 years of credit risk management experience in a corporate banking environment with credit approval authority
Prior managerial experience as well as the ability to partner and liaise with multiple business units
Holder of ECF Certification on Credit Risk Management (CCRP(CPM))
Solid knowledge of the current market practice in Hong Kong; great credit sense and understanding of corporate/commercial banking products as well as the related regulations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good communication skills with high proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese including Mandarin
