Our company is a leading property developer with a large portfolio of retail and commercial properties across Asia. They are currently seeking a Health & Safety Manager whose main role is to ensure the day to day operations are in full compliance with the statutory Fire, Health and Safety Regislations.

Property management or building experience is required.
about the job
  • Advise Technical Managers in respect of tenancy alterations and public area improvements concerning fire protection and detection equipment and planning including provisions for means of escape in case of fire.
  • Review existing policies and procedures for fire, health & safety and emergency.
  • Conduct fire/emergency drills in liaison with Property & Technical Managers and building staff.
  • Conduct emergency training for tenant’s fire marshals, and establish requirements for tenant fire drills.
  • Conduct fire, life, health, safety & Security audits training and implementation for Hong Kong and regional properties yearly.
  • Advise Projects Department in respect of plans and construction safety for new buildings and participate in acceptance procedures when new buildings are commissioned and handed over to Property Management.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections with Property Managers on risk premises within the Portfolio, tenants fitting out and renovation works. Issuing reports with recommendations for improvement actions.
  • Promote Health & Safety issues by conducting in-house seminars with relevant Government Authorities and keep Property & Technical Managers advised of Regulations and Code of Practice.
  • To implement the ISO14001 / OHSAS 18001 Management System across the portfolios. Define requirements and conduct staff training in the areas of fire protection and Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Organise in-house seminars for building and technical staff with relevant Government Authorities.
skills & experiences required.
  • Bachelor Degree in Health & Safety OR Fire Engineering relevant discipline
  • 10 years of experience in a mangerial grade with similar job scope
  • Must be a Registered Safety Officer and familiar with ISO14001 / OHSAS 18001 and other fire, health and safety regulations
  • Excellent command of English, Mandarin and Cantonese
